General
What is Daily Salaah?
Daily Salaah is a mobile-first web app for tracking the five daily prayers, reviewing recent consistency, and managing missed prayers that still need to be completed as Qadhā. It includes a Prayer tab for daily logging, a Tracker tab for streaks, trends, and Qadhā, and a Settings tab for account, appearance, privacy, and support links.
Which prayers can I track?
You can track Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. On Fridays, Dhuhr is shown as Jumu'ah for that date. Dhuhr, Asr, and Isha also support Qasr marking when applicable for travel.
Is this app free?
Yes, Daily Salaah is completely free to use.
How is my data stored? Is it private?
Signed-in prayer data is stored in Firebase Firestore and synced to your account. Guest mode data is tied to the current guest session and device. Daily Salaah also asks for analytics consent separately. If you consent, analytics may include limited prayer action metadata, but not your email, password, full prayer journal, or full Qadhā list. For more details, please read our Privacy Policy.
Account & Login
Do I need an account?
You can continue as a guest for quick use on one device. Creating a free account with email and password or Google is recommended if you want your prayer history backed up and synced across devices.
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes. You can sign in with Google, create an account with email and password, or continue as a guest. Guest mode is useful for trying the app, but it is not the best choice for long-term cross-device tracking.
How do I reset my password?
On the Sign In page, click the "Forgot password?" link. You will be prompted to enter your email address, and a password reset link will be sent to you.
App Usage
How do I log my prayers?
Open the Prayer tab and tap "Mark as prayed" next to the prayer. Use the chevron on the split button for more actions, such as marking a prayer as missed, marking or removing Qasr where supported, or undoing a status. The header progress ring updates as prayers are completed.
How do I change the date?
Use the previous and next arrow buttons in the Prayer tab date bar to move between days. The Today button returns you to the current date, and you can also swipe the prayer list left or right on touch devices.
What is "Qasr"?
Qasr is the practice of shortening certain prayers while traveling. In Daily Salaah, Qasr can be marked for Dhuhr, Asr, and Isha from the prayer action menu. You can mark a pending prayer as Qasr first, mark it directly as prayed Qasr, or record a missed Qasr prayer for Qadhā tracking.
What is the Qadhā list?
When you mark a prayer as missed, it is added to your Qadhā list. The Tracker tab shows your pending Qadhā count and list, sorted by the earliest missed date and prayer order, so you can work through what still needs to be completed.
How do I complete a Qadha prayer?
Open the Tracker tab, find the prayer in the Qadhā list, and tap the Qadhā button on that row. This removes it from the pending list and updates the original date so the prayer is counted as completed.
What is Historic Qadhā and how do I use it?
Historic Qadhā lets you track missed prayers from before you started using the app. Open Settings → Historic Qadhā to enter a starting count for each prayer (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha). The Tracker tab then shows a Historic Qadhā card in the carousel where you can decrement counts as you make up prayers, or tap Prayed to record one quickly. When your last 30 days are clean but historic Qadhā remain, the Qadhā section shows how many historic prayers are still left so the long-term goal stays visible.
What does the Tracker tab show?
The Tracker tab shows a 7-day streak card, a 30-day prayer trends heatmap, and a Historic Qadhā card for missed prayers from before you started tracking. The trends use recent prayer history saved in the browser to make the current device's progress easier to review.
Can I use dark mode or change privacy preferences?
Yes. Open Settings to toggle dark mode, manage analytics consent, view privacy and terms pages, contact support, or sign out.
What happens if I use the app offline?
The app is designed to keep working when your connection drops. Changes can be kept locally while offline and synced once your signed-in account is back online. If you are using guest mode, keep in mind that your data is limited to that guest session and device.
